No, it is not the case that Americans won't pick berries for $50/hour. Americans WILL do the work, for the right pay. And NO, it won't result in increased costs as the grocery store, just legislate that prices can only be raised if profits turn to literal losses, not just if they go down.

I just explained it to you in my post. Prices are held constant unless companies can show losses. Smaller profit margins don't count.

Plenty of crop harvesting is too tricky. Its been in an automation attempt for a century, haven't been able to get rid of berry pickers yet.
