Some people are working in fields they have a passion for, and are actually achieving things in that career which are groundbreaking and innovative for said field of passion. It makes sense that a retard who has spent their life as a NEET in their mom's basement would have no understanding of how life/the world actually works, though. Everything you know about careers and work comes from other useless retards on the internet who are also trying to cope with the awareness that they're useless retards.
As you advance in your career, you do make more money yes, but you also place yourself in a position of power. That power means you have a role in decision making, and likewise have a role in the direction in which you can advance that innovation I mentioned previously. You have a goal and direction in life, and you are actively participating in human advancement as a whole, not just your own advancement.
