English is the master language. If it's worth being said it will be said in English. Dirty poop languages like Eskimo, hindi, Turkish, just lmao. I wish English was more difficult because it serves as a useful filter.

Why would I want to speak with more people? English speakers alone comprises a group of mostly assholes. If anything knowing no languages would be a blessing.

Languages are cool and I have studied a good bit of russian.
Its just that part of me is realizing that I already don't talk to people, so learning to speak another language is a particularly redundant skill to pick up.

This obsession with comparing yourself to others and deriding others based on arbitrary metrics is exhausting. I'm learning Spanish in my free time, or trying to, but I do not much care how many languages a person speaks. I do not care what their height is, whether they are ugly or attractive, rich or poor, or intelligent. I have reached the point where all I really care about is whether a person is genuinely good hearted and cares about his fellow man.

I just don't care about ephemeral indicators of status anymore, and I find it tiring to see people constantly trying to be "better" than one another. This planet is a nightmarish sacrificial chamber that we cannot escape from. To be the fattest sacrifice is no great honour.

This right here. At least on the internet. I've come across many of these people and I just cringe when they attempt to talk to me in my native tongue. It's not even an obscure language, it's spanish for god's sake. Learning how to say dog and blue in another language doesn't mean you can speak it.
