Friends talked about it and I saw it mentioned a lot throughout the wider internet as a cultural touchstone.

I'm a bit all over the place and the boards I frequent changes depending on the month, but right now I frequent /a/, /v/, /g/, /r9k/, [s4s], /pol/, and /jp/

I've used a lot of imageboards, and I definitely think 4chan is the lowest quality with the most activity, which makes it kind of addictive but a lot of what goes on here lacks substance. At the same time, it can still be fun... sometimes :^)

Yes, I've studied that shit extensively. I've gone through wikis, archives, articles about certain events on various sites, the lot. I was a huge autist when it came to learning about 4chan's history.

I heard about it on youtube a long time ago on a video related to the Anonymous hacking group when I was 8-11 years old. Then I started playing visual novels, joined r/visualnovels and there was a link to a 4chan VN recommendation chart. I realized that I never used 4chan so I gave it a try. Started by using /a/

Used to be only /a/. I was forced to stop watching anime, so I've been on /r9k/, /v/, /bant/ and /s4s/ ever since.

I like how everyone can find their own space here, or that's what it seems to be. Messages tend to be unfiltered and funny in a certain way, but are many kinds of posting "styles". I like how otaku and lonely people can fit here, and replying " "anonymously" (without an account) is good. And yet even though this is majorly anonymous a community is formed in each board, I love that.

Christopher Poole. The creator of 4chan who first launched this site by copying Futaba's code when only 13 or 14 years old. He had a particular interest for the term "faggot". I don't know much about the meaning of the characters m00tcat and m00txico though. And according to one of the banners he hate australians.

when i first started was in late 2022 but i didnt really understand the website yet and i only lurked on the wallpaper board so i left after a month. i started again probably a couple of months ago now and i think it is pretty good. i use r9k and sometimes i use int. i know some things about 4chan history. i dont know who moot is.
