Because I don't care about getting rich but I do care about my time.
I would rather be poor with tons of time to do the things that matter to me, rather than be rich and spending all my time working.
The trade off just isn't worth it in my eyes.

No longer possible under globalism (especially for autists now); and 1.4B slaves from Red China undercutting everyone for pennies.
It's also a pisser that under 'bux rules, and means testing, I can't even legally daytrade, or invest (outside of buying three gold coins once).

Nobody has ever gotten rich through hard work. You get rich by exploiting other people and bribing officials to change the rules to better suit you. Once you realize capitalism is just a scam, you don't have to worry about hard work or getting rich, you can just take disability and wait for other people to figure out everything is a fucking scam.
Because if she marries you for money she will eventually realize that she can just take half of it in a divorce. I guess if you don't get married that's less of a problem, but then what happens when she meets somebody richer? There's always a bigger fish. Better to use your money on cool stuff (corvette) rather than wasting it on a girl.
