>>82219550 (OP)no. i don't use dating services at all, and i would *never* in 100 years honestly consider using roblox as a dating service.
let's assume the following: they implement a "dating" system to a similar standard with which they have implemented other aspects of their product, to a similar degree of polish and workmanship. let's also assume they will attract a user base similar to their existing audience, and that all aspects of this function within general/common expectations.
working under that preamble, not accounting for any bizarre twists of fate that make roblox somehow the premier dating service on the planet: it's fraught with issues from square one. we're expecting a service that's already having widespread and severe problems with grooming and child exploitation to then responsibly come up with a way to have a dating app. it's absolutely insane. there's no way in hell these people are going to be able to keep kids out. kids are going to get in, they're going to do stupid kid shit, and a non-zero amount of both adults and kids are going to have their lives needlessly destroyed. i can see the headlines already: kid gets groomed and abducted, adult gets catfished by 16yo, whatever. it doesn't matter what exactly happens, i just know it's not going to end well. best case scenario: it turns into a weird pleddit zone for quirk chunguses to get new orbiters.
