5'6 manlet, really into lifting and have competed professionally a few times, so I know I look at least decent or average. I sometimes even inflate my own sense of worth just to boost my confidence, but this encounter really just sent me back to when I was young, being worried about my height. Was on my way back to campus, was sharing a 7 seater car with 4 others, 3 guys and 1 girl. One of the guys was about 6'2, not particularly good looking in my eyes, looked like your average incel with acne all over, weird posture and everything but still tall, I didn't think much of it or even spared a thought. I did suggest the girl should sit in the front so she wouldn't feel cramped between two guys in the back, but they just shrugged it off so whatever, I didn't really care all that much so I didn't press on it. Throughout the ride, she naturally ended up talking to the tall guy and again, I didn't pay much attention because I wasn't interested, but when we arrived at campus, the other two guys tried striking up a conversation with her in a friendly manner with no silly intent, asking her course and section. She didn't really respond to them, though, and instead kept talking with the tall guy almost meticulously, and it felt a little sad, honestly. Before leaving, she casually asked him, "By the way, how tall are you?" That simple question hit me harder than it should have. It made me feel hella bitter, and brought back the realization how much weight height carries socially, and how insecure I still am about it despite having practically changed myself completely.

I'm not him, but the 6'4 anon earlier in the thread and had it happen to me too. I've had women go for shorter fat men over me because they're mature and have confidence, while I'm a loser who's only redeeming trait is his body.
Certain things give advantages and disadvantages, but usually possible to overcome with certain women depending on how you handle things.
