That sounds tight. Been a while since I've been able to go on a walk somewhere nice. Need to go out more.

>how are you anons doing today?
Frustrated, as always. What about yourself?

going out for a walk can really help clear your mind, it feels like cleaning your room but for your mind, if that makes any sense
>Frustrated, as always.
oh that sucks I'm sorry about that! I'm doing ok I'm actually in a pretty good mood, a bit uncharacteristic of me, oh I'm sure I'll be back to being suicidal eventually

That's a really good way of putting it. Damn I miss hiking.

Look brother, the Remington Retirement plan is calling to me, and I need someone to bullshit with while I'm at work. Please quit trying to open your wrists, they're sealed for a reason.

That's fair I guess. Mine just kinda doesn't go away, but it's weak enough that I can deal with it unless something truly rough happens

every year something happens when it gets really bad and I become bedridden for like a quarter of the year but then I bounce back (eventually)

I understand but it's usually not the way I go. I got kinda forced into that while my leg was broken though, and I hated it.

>plans for today after work?
Go on a run. I got my PAT for the department on Saturday, and while I'm sure I'll pass it anyway I would rather not drag ass across the finish line and have the officers look at me funny. Might also do chest, haven't decided.

No, sadly. I need to get back into reading and watching movies. Especially because I'm starting to run dry on inspiration for the game I've been GMing for my buddies and I think something fresh might get the gears turning and help me write some more. Been sticking to comfort patterns though because I'm stressed out all the fucking time. I tend to work my shift, exercise, play with my Discord pals, then sleep.

Wanting to get my hands on Brave New World and Animal Farm. Also been thinking about checking out the Compendium Maleficarum, or maybe re-reading Ghost in The Shell.

You been in to any interesting media lately?

yeah for a while I wasn't watching or reading anything but I wanted to watch something dumb and fun so I started watching mobile fighter g gundam, it's pretty good and I've been reading a manga called galaxy express 999 don't know if you've ever heard of it.

I haven't gotten too far into the manga/anime scene. Very few of them tickle my fancy, so I have not heard of it. What's it about?

If you like to watch stupid stuff I can recommend a few "good bad" movies. I like to get drunk and watch them with my buds.

modern anime is all trash but man 80s and 90s anime is so cool sure the stories are nothing deep but the art style and animation at the time made up for it, I recommend you watch angel cop it's only six episodes long
galaxy express 999 is about a kid that's traveling with a woman across the galaxy on the titular galaxy express 999 (it's a train that floats travels through space) and he is on his way to a place where he can get a robot body on each chapter the train stops in a different planet and stuff happens, each episode is like a self contained story, it's not like there's an overarching plot (I mean besides the fact that the main character is trying to get his robot body) uhh it's pretty good I don't want to bore you with the details there's an anime adaptation too and I think there's also a movie but I'm reading the manga first

>If you like to watch stupid stuff I can recommend a few "good bad" movies
sure!

>80s and 90s anime is so cool
I do really enjoy the Berserk anime from the 90s. I like Cowboy Bebop too, but I think that was early 00s.

>recommend you watch angel cop
I think I've had that recommended before. I'll have to remember to put it on my watch list. What can I find it on?

>galaxy express 999
Sounds neat. I'll at least give it a look, see if it keeps my attention.

>sure
My favorite in recent times has been Beyond the Law (2019). It's a Steven Seagal movie. Me and my friends have a drinking game for when the props get switched, like guns or cars changing between scenes.

Willie's Wonderland is also decent, it's a Nick Cage film that kind of rips on FNAF

Anything by Neil Breen is a transcendent experience. Absolute cinema for people who have been lobotomized

The first half of The Greasy Strangler is hilarious. It gets tedious after that in my opinion, but some people continue to like it.

And of course The Room is a classic, but I have somehow not seen it.

oh yeah I love berserk, early 00s anime was still good but it was like the beginning of the end, and lol I think I might've recommended you angel cop before, I think you'd have to download it somewhere apparently it's on prime video but I'm not sure
hope you like galaxy express 999
and thanks for the movie recommendations! I'll check them out and I've seen the room lol I quote it all the time.

Ayy, glad you still remember. I was seriously fucked back then, but I was able to stop myself from looking at old chats, looking at social media, and never sent her a message. I don't know what she's up to and that's ok.

I feel the attachment leaving me now, though I still think about her every day still, she has become more of an abstract idea that I'm infatuated with. I suppose the reality is that I'm depressed and she was a beacon of hope for my mind to ruminate over.

I didn't like this newer devilman adaptation I mean at least it was cool that it adapted the whole manga but I prefer the old OVA from the 90s but hey I mean the story itself is great! it's devilman after all!
>>82227865
hey! glad you're doing better I'm doing better too I was finally able to let go and unfriended her so now i can't look at out old texts I still haven't deleted her pictures though I just buried them somewhere deep inside my files (on my pc)

I think I saw it before but it would have been like a decade or so ago. I hear Apocalypse of Devilman is really good.

apocalypse of devilman is based on a different devilman manga! I haven't watched it but I've been meaning to
>spoiler
yeah it was I honestly didn't see it coming made me so sad also you probably know this already but devilman was among the mangas that inspired the guy that made berserk he was a fan of go nagai (devilman's creator) he said he was also inspired by violence jack, another go nagai manga and it shows, early berserk was basically violence jack but in medieval times and with less rape and violence (YES less)

I've heard of Violence Jack. Someone told me it ties into Devilman, but I assume it's just that it was also made by Go Nagai
