I don't think it's safe. Full size cases are heavy as shit. And the consequences are you possibly breaking the components inside with shock damage if the handles fail, and possibly breaking your foot or killing a small animal that got nosey and wandered under you while you were lifting it.

Why would you glue it when you could just do a proper mechanical connection like the handles are meant for? At least then you haven't the ability to remove them without much consequence.

Use a cyanoacrylate super glue with high melting temp for strongest bond and clean/dry the surface first.
