Smart guy, but we have obviously moved past his contributions to science by quite a bit. Einstein is to scientist what Picasso is to painters, in that his contributions to the field are overrated as a result of him being one of the only ones known to the general public. You don't exactly see a lot of physicists walking around talking about how much they idolize Einstein nowadays, same as how very few modern artists would cite Picasso as an influence.
