Working Under the Table
Any experience? Have SSI?

I'm on the schizo spectrum, but recently finished my first real job at nearly 30. The job was being a fisherman in Alaska. I didn't sign a contract or anything, but the boss may use my name when filling taxes. I'm on SSI. Been homeless for a long time, and would be dead without it. I fear losing my SSI if I inform Social Security. Any experience working with SSI?

why would you take a job when you're on ssi, you should have work for yourself if you wanted money

If you did not give him your SSN or license you are most likely good. If he payed in cash as well you are definitely good. Thats how illegal immigrants get paid

Crazy is as crazy does. I needed it out of my head to be human again. I am crazy, but I don't want to be in such psychological pain. I can be homeless or in physical pain just fine.

He'll have my name and address, but I don't remember if I gave him my social. When I gave him my info for his wife to buy a plane ticket back for me I don't recall giving it to him, and I remember that being distinctly strange.

The bad thing about getting a check is that you might have to explain why to the IRS come tax day. How much money will you be receiving?

if you are going to be schizo you might as well seduce a hot rich divorced milf and get free food an shelter. it's not like your dick doesn't work

Like a photo copy, or specific information on it?

If he's honest? 12.5. if not? 6,250, maybe less. One of the crew got 2,700, but that crewman has a lot of circumstances that got his lowered. Hard to say.

Yeah you should be fine. I guess a good first strategy if they ask is to say it's for services rendered.
Like not saying you worked for him or anything like that just the check was for services rendered

All he really needs is a social security number. If he got photocopies of your SSN card or just the number you were likely a legal employee and will likely have to declare that on tax day.

If the check is over 10k you will probably have to declare that on tax day anyways. If your check was under 10k, and he does not have your SSN you are likely in the clear.

I honestly don't fucking remember, but thanks for the heads up. I've never payed tax, I don't understand any of this. I'd like to get on disability, so maybe it's not the worst thing, but I don't know if they'd accept such dubious fillings. You need to work for a period to get on it. It would be nice to sleep in a bed again. Thanks, man.

You should look into a local Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. It helps people with schizo disorders find a home, a job, and a lot of them pay for meds as well

I'm not on meds. The judge knew that when she gave me SSI. I'm hyper-aware of myself. Taking even melatonin agitates me because I'm being artificially compelled. Same issues I have with society. I think I have grey matter damage, less of a genetic issue. I can't be around people unless it's an obsession like my doing this round of fishing. I couldn't survive a group home, and I genuinely prefer homelessness to it. I'm just getting old and my knees hurt a lot between the sleeping in my car and fishing job. I will look into it. Thank you.

I wouldn't even know how to find such a job. I sure as shit wouldn't risk my 'bux over it.
What sucks is that I can't day-trade and take money out, because the cunts watch my bank account.
The fucking irony of 'bux rules totally forbidding poor people from being enterprising.
Especially if we're too fucked up in the head or body to even last in a 9-to-5, let alone customer service hell.
I have items that I could sell, but auctions don't usually pay out in cash.
My only investment is buying three gold coins that have gone up by over 400 in 10 months.

Maybe this is a dumb question but couldn't you invest it crypto and then if it moons you can just cash out into your mom's bank account, then use her debit card to buy whatever you want? (She'll want to open a new bank account for this though since then the debit card will only have your money on it.)

Basically, can't your mom open a bank account for you and you can just deposit whatever you want into it and keep her debit card in your wallet and use it like it's yours?
Anonymous No.82242934 >>82243241
Part Two: Couldn't you work online and then when you're paid by PayPal just use your mom's PayPal account and PayPal debit card? (Then when she pays taxes she can use that money of course.) You'd have to be careful that they don't report taxes though, or use Mom's info for that somehow.

No, my family are all dead now.
Even then, the whole bank account snooping thing would have fucked them over too.
Seems like gold coins are my only usable option, as at least I can sell them for cash if need be.
Though I hope to hold onto them for some time. Possibly grow my stack, if I can ever get my savings up enough.
It just sucks that money is devalued all the time and people just accept this.

No, due to above.
Also, since my last 'bux audit, they know about my PayPal account; so I can never stash money in it. Not that I ever did.
The one way I could launder cash was to deliberately over-pay my rent account (my borough is my 'landlord', so I'm not paying a person) and let the rent balance go back to zero over time, which essentially 'reclaims' the money in my bank, without showing an incoming payment.
I did open a second bank account last year, but due to the audit I basically ended all hope of using it. I was going to siphon off money from my main account, as I'm not allowed to have savings over 6K. Though as this would be visible on bank statements, several months of which I had to submit to the 'bux people, it's a total non-starter. This is why I spent 1.5K on gold last year. I had a second account before, but had no money to put in it, so I eventually closed it.
Though due to some short-notice large purchases (even with Klarna spreading the cost a bit) and over-spending on food, beer, and takeout, my balance has been the lowest it has ever been in ten years. So I am back to basics, living on potato snacks and noodles, and trying to grow the balance before I buy more gold. But I need to buy a new laptop soon, as this one is fucked; so it will take some time.
