There has been a continued degression toward shit after 9/11. Trumpists are just a symptom of the enshittening of everything.

Every aspect of life is worse. The price of food has doubled or tripled. Every product is cheap Chinese junk that breaks in a year. Jobs are stagnant. Degrees are useless. Everyone is staring at social media getting angry about nothing. Movies theaters are dying, video games are shitty, everything's trending toward China.

Nobody is trying to reverse course, least of all Trump. We're just in shit acceleration mode now. The masks are off and the US is being gutted by businessmen like a dying corporation. They're grabbing every last penny they can before they jump ship and watch it burn.

I don't listen to the Glenn Beck podcast so I don't know schizoid revisionist history, only the history I actually experienced with my eyes and ears.

Trumpists are more of a direct symptom of the religifi-cation (yeah, made it up) of politics. There's no longer room for compromise. [the leader]'s way is the only way, everything else is stupid or madness. Anyone who would naysay [the leader] is a heretic or an idiot. It shuts down discussions, it removes compromise, it's anti-democratic and parallels the thought processes of fundamentalism.
