no most sites that aren't workplace related are banned like gamefaqs and most flash game sites
I also can't login to any websites with my account because it's also prohibited and i cant download browser extensions like addblocker before writing an email to my supervisor to give me permission to do so
even my usb port needs approval from some supervisor
They think putting all these restrictions on us makes us more effective workers since we can't get distracted but all it does is make it a nightmare to open up a pdf file

No i work as an electrician in a prison and we have to be there for 8h every day from 7 to 4 with a 1h break in case an emergency happens and we have to fix something superfast but that sort of thing usually never happens
What i do usually is check up on the smoke detectors and test them and then afterwards just sit in the office snd wait for something else to happen
sometimes one of the prisoners gets bored and rips out a smoke detector and we go in his cell and install a new one but that only happens once or twice a week and then theres nothing else to do for the day
Once every year we have to go up on a lift and clean the security cameras that are all around the building which is kinda cool because youre 10 to 20 meters on the air but it only takes 3 days to do and then theres nothing else to do again
We are mainly just there for the smoke detectors
We also cant bring a cellphone with us so iz gets really boring

They get an pretty big room al to then self with a tv and if you behave yourself really good you even get an 360 and can play all day
