my os is windows 10
i have a 7800x3d, some ios water cooler with 3 fans, 32gb of ram, a 2tb ssd and 1tb diskdrive thats old, a 3060 ti
2 years ago i had a 6600k, a 960gtx, a 1tb disk drive, and i belive 16 or 8 gb of ram. but i had to upgrade because i was playing a lot of world of warcraft retail, and my pc was so slow that it couldnt hold 30 fps in some parts
so thats why i upgraded. i love my current system, especially the SSD, its very fast. its like a 20 second boot time, its unreal
i remember in 2000 booting up a computer to play mohaa and diablo 2, and it would take like 5 minutes. sometimes 10 if i downloaded a lot of pirated games off limewire
these days i just play dota for fun every now and again. dont play much other games im too old
ive always loved having a pc because computer games were superior to console games. i remember reading about cool new graphics card releases in a magazine in 2005 and fantasizing about having some cool build. i remember seeing stuff like old voodoo pc's or old alienware pc's that were for giga-chads, but my parents never loved me and so had to play games on a old dell laptop that was underspecd, so wow was 25 fps on 720p (or lower res) i think back then
fun fact: i moved to a new highschool back in 2005, and this one nerd kid flexed on me so hard. he had a top of the line alienware laptop, was getting straight A's on all of his ap classes, and had like 4 or 5 lvl 60's. he showed off to me. i was more jealous of him that kids with prime teenage girlfriends. i felt really inferior
pro tip: if you look at your memory, its suppose to be between 4 to 8gb on startup. mines was 20gb, because i didnt have a updated bios. when i updated my bios i got a good 15 gb of extra ram. it was basically like downloading free ram sort of
