I realized why I don't like the idea of approaching women and asking them out. Its because you're basically walking into her palace as yet another insignificant jester in her life and putting on a performance in the hopes of getting to fuck the queen. The act would make me feel so small and desperate, just another nobody male rolling the dice against a 95% chance of rejection repeatedly until I hit jackpot. To some extent this is a ego problem, but I don't think my description of the process is an exaggeration. Its truly a powerless beggars position to ask women out.
