How do you avoid being misanthropic when so many people you tend to come across in life are repellant? I'm not that great of a person either but that doesn't change the fact that I don't want to be around unpleasant people. So many people you run into are either, controlling, insulting, overly aggressive, overly timid, self righteous, flippant, vapid, obstinate, ignorant, deceptive, manipulative, cruel, narcissistic or sadistic.

I really dislike all of this, trying to become as detached as possible so I no longer find myself acting like this. It's disturbing how complacent people are in their weakness and pointless lashing out. You can't even talk about stuff like this or people think it's just ego. No, there are objectively negative traits that exist in people and you should do your best to purge yourself of them. Accepting mediocrity is not humility.
