this is true from a moral side, but culturally what's "better" or "worse" is decided by the observer. Just because you might personally like one aesthetic over another, that doesn't make it objectively better than others from an aesthetic standpoint.
I feel where a lot of people get confused on this point is the difference between objective qualities and subjective enjoyment. you can say a Shakespearian sonnet is more complex than a modern videogame storyline, you can say it has been more influential, you can say it was harder to write, but does that make it objectively better from the side of enjoyment?
