I watched it with only having surface-level knowledge of the original manga and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's fun an old school trope-filled media sort of way. It's a "turn your brain off and just have fun" sort of show. Let's not pretend that you are doing anything better with your time anyway. Oh and I'm a hyperstraight vagina lover.
