How to retire young
I retired in my early twenties and you can too
Just quit your job and stop working
Don't get a new job and don't ever work again
Congratulations you're retired!

>But but but if I quit my wagie job and stop helping circumcisers I'll become homeless and have no money!!

Maybe or maybe not. Doesn't matter don't be a pussy.

In Minecraft if you want to be the ultimate Minecraft neet

Get a bow and arrows
Get a chest
Get a small shovel
Get a Minecraft mod to get Silica Gel Packets Desiccant things they only cost a few emeralds in the mod
Go to a place NOT NEAR YOUR BASE if someone makes it so you can't even go within 500 blocks of your base you still need to be able to access your chest
Dig a deep hole

Put bow and arrow, at least a couple hundred emeralds and the Silica Gel Packets Desiccant things in your chest. Optionally also add stuff like a small sword.
Close chest up very tightly.
Put chest at bottom of hole and cover with dirt blocks.
WHEN YOU GO TO SPOT WHERE YOU WILL BURY THE CHEST LEAVE YOUR MAP AND COMPASS AT YOUR BASE DON'T BRING THEM WITH YOU. IF YOU HAVE A PHONE MOD OR MODERN CAR MOD DON'T BRING THOSE WITH YOU EITHER

final step

If you ever become homeless or whatever in Minecraft go dig up your chest and do PvP before jumping into lava

If you are making a stash in Minecraft don't bury it at your Minecraft base you live at in game bury it somewhere like a public park in the Minecraft server and make sure you bury it somewhere easy to find like next to some sort of landmark in the server.
Make sure to keep in mind how deep you bury it like how many blocks and what the frost line is if you have the frost line mod installed on the server. Obviously at least quadruple bag it if you have the plastic bag mods on the server with some very strong airtight bags from the mod and put plenty of dehydrating packets in each bag if you have a desiccant mod

OP thank you for posting this, always makes me laugh. It's funny, I think about all the normie fraudsters who had like half a million in their bank account when the FBI seized all their assets (the FBI steals all their money and never gives it back, that's one way they massively profit off charging fraudsters). Yet all they had to do is transfer all their money to Monero and then hide the USB ledger in the ground.

Then when they get out of prison, they could just dig it up. Why the hell didn't any fraudsters ever do this??

Also OP what do you do with your free time now that you're "retired" and free from the rat race?

I came into a windfall and have been considering what I want and value in life, what I have, what I could obtain. The question is; what is the path of least resistance?
A bare minimum lifestyle can be considered. How much spending does this involve? It's a big leap, but I believe I can live on $4,625 a year without being a burden. This is internet, energy, tax, and a car, plus a 25% buffer for surprise expenses like repairs. One potential flaw is this is an idealized budget with no spending on food. It relies on the assumption I eat what I produce. Humans need very little food to survive, metabolism is astonishing in its efficiency. Alcohol can be be 30-50% of calories, though long term health effects is something to consider. Grains and legumes can be stored for years. Energy intensive, but canning also allows multiple years without spoilage. The plan is not to rely on this, but serve as a failsafe in case of famine. It relies on an uncomfortable amount of luck as well. Off grid systems can be expensive enough as parts. If not installed and maintained by user the costs can reach or even exceed on grid living.
Using figures from the trinity study 25x annual spending is a convenient way of finding a number in dollars need to sustain value indefinitely. In other words investment portfolio that keeps up with inflation and the good and lean years cancel out allowing one to skim each year the same purchasing power indefinitely. It is an extreme approach to early retirement, though less extreme than homelessness. $115,625 is what I need to retire after the remaining off grid infrastructure is in place. Out of an abundance of caution, I would suggest increasing your magic number by 25% again. So my case $144,531
>(bare minimum annual spending)(1.25)=safe spending
>((safe spending)(25))(1.25)=safe nest egg
This gives you two lucky quarters, and the effect is that the safe nest egg should outpace instead of maintain purchase power.

Just imagine all of that work you do to get to that point, and then after retiring, whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean for you, you spend years and years getting everything done and right as you lay the final brick so to speak, I come along and chop your fucking head off and take it all for myself. And you never saw it coming.

If you were simply looking for personal gain, this is not an effective strategy. Salvaged doors and windows, absolutely not built up code or inspection, old cast iron stove. Then there is the fact I'm not alone and that gun typically beats knife.
I'm not sure what type of response you are hoping for. The legal risk of murder and low value gained which absolutely could not be maintained would make nearly anyone a better target. In the hood people are less united and generally keep their wealth in the form of shoes, electronics, drugs, and jewelry. Far more valuable and portable than a cord of wood or 20 quarts of canned peaches.
If you are trying to hint at life being fragile and of short duration, that's precisely the motivation for engaging in such a lifestyle. Food, shelter, and leisure are base but understandable pursuits. Seeking status, prestige, and wealth on their own don't generate happiness. Any pleasure obtained comes from selecting a criteria for personal value and then recognizing those without. It's incomprehensible to me. It's social hierarchy. In doesn't feel real in the same way a book or porkchop or bottle of wine does.
