It's offensive to other countries anyway.
>In order to save our regional economies, we need to import low-skill laborers!
The benefit of giving preferential treatment to highly skilled labor is because you actually get something in return for it. It shouldn't even be legal to lord over the available jobs of your own people and sell them out to people who will work for fractions of pennies since that money goes further in their home country. Meanwhile it just gets harder and harder to exist as a regular fucking person in your own country, you need to accept slave labor conditions and give up leisure entirely. It makes me sick and it makes every highly skilled immigrant sick too.
And on the political side, public funds are obviously not being reinvested back into the people properly. We get incomprehensible shit like sex education programs instead of fixing the fucking problem.
I want Indians/Africans etc here that are competent enough to leave India on their own and speak English in order to pursue whatever they want. I do not want an Indian version of me who is only capable of low-skilled labor who can't even fucking talk to me properly in my own country.
China might be the only country in the world that sets a standard for a certain quality of skill to be met for immigrants. Something about how their country is structured must make it to where their own bribes have more sway than foreign bribes. That is the only cynical explanation I can conceive
