I'd advise against that. You'll become codependent with them and once they leave it'll hurt a lot. Happened to me (although he killed himself) and I haven't been the same since.

I have maybe 3 friends... 1 good friend. I like her a lot but I realize I need to give her space. However, she's a great friend and I can tell her everything in secret, no matter what.
