There is an epidemic of shaming in modern society that never really gets talked about. Most social anxiety is driven by shame. A lot of modern dating rhetoric is no longer "I am not personally attracted to you" but "You are fundamentally undesirable as a human".

It comes off as extremely juvenile, and not in a way that's charming. It comes off as a little kid not wanting to eat a certain food because it's icky or try an activity because it looks stupid. It's ridiculous how terms like that, adulting, and other stuff have become normalized when it sounds like something that a child would make up.

idk bro, I think the sad thing is that people who go through life hurting and belittling others never do face any day of judgement - life isn't fair. In fact that confidence and strong sense of ego that these kinds people have actually makes them more attractive to potential partners.
