i'm thinking about getting into a psych ward. I've been very suicidal, sad, anger and with mental fog. Everyday i wake up i want to kill people or kill myself, i feel so lonely and missunderstood.

Do you have a therapist, psychologist, etc.? The psych ward for me has only been useful in two ways:
1. Keeping me safe from myself and others, which sounds like you might need right now as is, and
2. Setting me up with outpatient stuff when I didn't have any, pills and therapy mostly, which after having gone through a good number of different pills at different dosages, has eventually helped. Therapy was actually more useful in helping me control racing thoughts, how to handle mood swings, etc.

If you think you're actually a danger to you or others, I'd say go. I'm not sure about other places, but here, when I go voluntarily, I can leave voluntarily as well. Though I have never dealt with feelings of wanting to harm others, so if you mention that, they might want to keep you until it's under control (or until you convince them it is).

It's extremely boring, at least at the one I've been to multiple times, a hospital psych ward. Grippy socks, pens put into soft bendy plastic so you can't even hold them easily, boring daily activities, no phone, no computer, minimal contact with the outside world. But they've also been a good resource when I really need some med adjustments if I run out and start going insane or hooking me up with other resources as mentioned before.

Think about it, it can be helpful, but it is kind of a pain in the butt.

Killing yourself alone in your bedroom is a lost cause anon, you know it to be true. They may take away burgers meds but they will never take your firearms.
