if you're religious, you recognize that moral standards come from the soul god gave you, and do your best to be a good person. your personal principles reflect the teachings in the bible, and help you do good

If you get your morals from the bible, then its not YOUR morals, and its not from YOUR soul, you just try to mimic the morals of the schizophrenic isrealites that wrote it, its a lack of principles on your end actually, only those with no principles would take anothers ethical code and hoist it on themselves like a hat

i suggest you improve your reading comprehension. morals don't come from the bible, they come from your soul as created by god. the bible's teachings simply outline what is morally right and remind you how to be good. love thy neighbor, don't steal, kill, cheat, etc.

principles are your own personal code/behaviors/beliefs on how to utilize those teachings and be good. your soul sounds tainted, you should try to do better in the world
