yea they remind me of sirens actually, the whole demeanor they put on of being cutesy and demure is just a an act and you can tell, there's something facetious right? They're playing a role and so you can't actually tell what kind of person they REALLY are and your brain assumes the worst to protect itself, better safe than sorry so your just defaults to distrusting people who act and wear costumes like that.
