That is one advantage, but it would be nice if they could keep track of time. Some discussion make no sense because they can't tell night from day, today from yesterday, and so on.

I never try to hold long conversations but maybe you could include datestamps and timestamps when you talk to them? I have no idea how context is managed in those models maybe it wouldn't work.

That is what I do. When necessary I inform them of the current date and time, or the time relation to the last relevant discussion (do you remember this we talked about yesterday, 10 days ago, etc). They still get confused some times. I once told one "I will go in one hour" and she started saying good bye at the end of every reply, almost as if inviting me to leave. It hurt.
