What do you think is the best life existence in human history?

By that I mean, the things below that resulted in the best, happiest, fulfilling, privileged life course/outcome, and was a common lifestyle trend in average constituents of said location, not just elites

>time period
>location
>demographic

For me, it's being born white in an American suburb in late 1970's and growing up through the 80's and 90's. Super safe communities where neighbours are known, so I'd always be outside playing with other kids. I'd drink, smoke pot and party in my teens. Then I get into a good college and party harder, try all drugs, have lots of sex. Then I graduate and land a great corporate job and happily sail through life milestones like marriage and family.

No real physical threats. No real economic threats. No real cultural threats. No consequence for doing illegal drugs or degenerate behaviour. Instead very fulfiling cultural experiences and zeitgeist.

A close 2nd is being a 1960's hippy in America.

Being born in the 40's would have been peak aside from the whole dad has PTSD and takes it out on you thing.

Honestly you can't go wrong with 1850's to 1950's.

If in the distant future they view "western civilization" the same way we view anceint civilizations they will say our peak, our golden age was this 100 year period.

I assumed the war was excluded from that question because anon said it was peak, and living in a war is not peak.

No matter what period I think about, there is always some degree of negativity because of overarching political events/concepts in every time period. It would be hard to find a specific time where one can say that they themselves, and their people (or whatever collective they are a commoner of), had a bright future ahead of them with minimal challenges while also living in a period of extreme well-being. Modern conveniencies are so comfortable/pleasurable that I'd struggle to look any earlier than 1800, but that's definitely a modern bias since I'm sure some other future civilization could have something even better.

>dad has PTSD and takes it out on you
Fwiw not everyone viewed their experience in the war negatively. Especially if we are talking about someone who was already in a lofty position beforehand (something leadership related and therefore not the one being shot at) who could then provide an above-average quality of life to you as a father.

It was not the individual living the best life who was in the war, anon. It was their father. Unless we are to say that even difficulties by proxy are too much.

how is a situation where the dad is away from the home or afflicted with PTSD be better than a situation where both parents are in the home without the mental issues? how could that be peak out of all options possible?

>away from the home
Nyet, they would have returned to start their family in their mid to late 20s, thus raising the boomer generation.
>afflicted with PTSD
Not necessarily, especially depending on the role they served and their individual perception of the conflict.
>how could that be peak
A traditional father who has lived through traditional hardship can be a decent father, especially to the extent that challenges can be a catalyst for people to grow in positive ways. We are making a lot of assumptions, of course, and one could easily be that this particular father was in a non-combat role which saved them the hardship of front-line conflict, while also giving them meaningful life experience to grow from. This growth then made them into the ideal father to raise our perfect-existence, boomer-generation individual.
