So.. I feel like here might actually be better/less negative than /lgbt/ somehow, so.. I'm gonna ask here.

F/21/UK. Y'see, I'm probably trans (MtF), and I've got a few family members standing in my way for it, and I want to know what might be the best way to address it to them? Mostly my dad, because he loves me, but he's said before that the second worst thing I could be is trans, and idk how to break the news to him. (Before you ask, 1st worst thing is being a pedophile which is understandable.)

Please be nice to me, I'm not very emotionally or mentally stable at the moment

Since he already said he wouldn't like you being trans, I'd say if you want to tell him then you should, but before that maybe talk to a friend or other family member about possibly staying at their place for a bit, just incase your dad freaks out and tells you to leave so then you have a place to stay, not saying that will happen but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
Also maybe look at other stories of people coming out to their parents to see how to go about it.

This is one of the worst boards you can ask for transgender related advice because 99% of posts will tell you to kill yourself

Going to be realistic with you chief:

The only way it doesn't turn out like that is if you confess to him not as being trans, but that you feel like you might be and want therapy+anti-psychotics to help treat those feelings. But even that will hurt him on some level, and I doubt you'd take that route anyway.

Coming out is stupid, especially if there's a good chance that the people you come out to are gonna treat you like shit for it. Just boymode until you can't anymore.

Dunno. You know the guy better than I do. Practice the speech a little, or at least memorize the main points.
Don't ask him shit. You're informing him. Don't give him chances to negotiate or coerce you. It'll just give him false hopes.

However, it's probably more practical to try to save up for your pills and take them, and just let him deal with the appearance change. At some point you come out to him and he just says "yeah uh I kinda noticed the tits".
