If you could do anything for $150,000/year but it had to be actual work (i.e, it performs a useful service or creates a good for someone), what would it be?

>be me
>volunteer at local event to get free entry
>cold out so they have fire pits for people to sit around
>maybe ~15 pits
>my job is to start the fires, then tend them all night
>keep an eye on the fires, make sure they keep going
>replace wood when needed
>haul wood from a shed when supplies are low
>spend 4+ hours just walking around staring at fire pits, throwing wood on top, poking it with a stick

Would probably do this for even a small wage if it paid at all

but if you could make the same money doing anything else, would you do something else? What would it be?

IT support 1st level was actually pretty fun to do when I was able to solve shit for people, having someone come in with a problem and they leave with a fix always felt gratifying, so probably something like that

I would develop open hardware devices for household items that should be manufactured and serviced locally by anyone who has the means of production and the drive to do so. I'm sick and tired of the current "oh, just buy another drill that breaks after a couple of hours of use as it's cheaper than buying one high quality one that is worth repairing"-mentality. I know it makes sense to do that shit if one only cares about money and don't care about the yuuuge mountain of garbage that each one of us leaves for the next generation to take care of but this kind of short-term and egoistical thinking is the root of many problems. I want it to be normal to buy high quality once that is worth passing on to the next generation because it was build to last. The usual ideas of repairable devices apply here like: no use of glue if it's not necessary for the function of the device, a way of constructing things that a pulled thread doesn't ruin the whole device (so no self-tapping screws that go directly into plastic, all plans and manufacturing and service documents are available for anyone so even small garage machinists are able to make some cash on the side by making parts that are useful, limiting the required parts to CNC-machined parts coupled with standard parts so no special machines are necessary that only make sense in large scale (besides CNC-machining, obviously), etc. I would only use free design tools like KiCad and FreeCAD to enable interested people to take the plans and be able to modify things if necessary.

Also butts are superior to boobies because butts can be enhanced via resistance training.
