All sex outside of marriage is casual sex. Doesn't matter how "committed" the relationship is. If it were truly meaningfully committed, you would be married. End of discussion.

That's a nice cope, but it still doesn't make the sex non-casual. Your feeling of it being genuine commitment is all in your head at that point, and doesn't actually exist IRL.

Also the government involvement in marriage is historically recent and irrelevant. Can always do a church wedding without the government being involved.

Just letting all the copers know that if they say they don't believe in casual sex but believe ins ex in non-marital relationships, that they actually do believe in casual sex and are thus themselves whatever they believe people who have casual sex are.
