There are some very sweet anons on here, you just need to get lucky with finding them and hope you click. Sometimes they're girls, too.
For wherever reason the ones most eager to add you are probably the least likely to stick around.
I'm not sure how rare it is but it can and does happen.

Oh fuck I've noticed this too. It's like how advertising and sellers approaching you VS you seeking the product/service means it's more likely than not shit. In other words, they stand to gain more than you from that interaction. This is common with friend collectors, discordtrannies and BPDemons.

most people already have their established social circles and have friends from a younger age. if you arent already in one by the time youre 20 it just gets harder to make friends. people say oooo concerts and events but lets be honest absolutely no one likes getting cold approached by a stranger. i envy those who grew up in one place their whole life because they all had the opportunity to develop close bonds with those in their community. i moved to this town im in over a year ago and people still treat me like an outsider. i see people out in public with their groups of friends. I was a cashier at the grocery store in town for a while and there were lots of people picking up cases of beer with their friends getting ready to go out to the lake with their friends and have a little party and its like fuck man why cant i have at least one friend?

You should ask yourself how much you would do for her vs how much you think she would do for you. Unfortunately they see you as a utility and realistically wouldn't give back as much as you give them. I spent 10 years of my life looking for a girlfriend on the internet and in retrospect I feel very stupid about how I kept talking to girls that were obviously using me for attention. I don't think you can find a girl online if you can't find one irl.
