I'm 39 and I've been in school since I was 6 years old. Haven't worked a day in my life, only studied. It feels kafkaesque to find myself every autumn sitting behind a school desk surrounded by interchangeable 19yo freshmen.

Why I do dat..? I cant get a job, mate. Whenever I apply for a job they just dont even respond.
I also have never had a gf and I go there to meet women because online I get filtered and I dont see single women outdoors anywhere like they didnt exist.

I did that too because at least in classrooms everyone is expected to be quiet and sit still. Two areas where I excel.

I got so many credits at the community college, the financial aid lady got mad at me. I think I had 220 credits when they kicked me out. 3 AAs, 2 certifications, Phi Theta Kappa, all for shit I'm not really that good at nor will I ever use.

Work is awful. I don't like communicating with others, I just want to be left alone. Let me just go to school until I'm dead, society. It's a win win for both of us, well, not you because you're just teaching me useless minutiae for free. Do it anyway.

The only thing that prevents me from living like this is that here in Finland the government punishes you for studying "too much" and cuts your benefits, telling you to go full unemployed.
If you're unemployed you get like 1k a month no questions asked, if you're a student you get 200 euros. What an incentive to study.

Yes. I literally can't get a job regardless of how many degrees I get. I always tell people I've realized the hidden truths about the job market. They're not looking for the most talented or qualified guy. What they're looking for is someone who is young, positive, is capable of doing the job but is also naive and malleable enough to become a corporate drone who doesn't ask too many questions.
It sounds like cope and stuff but it's true, at least on a subliminal level. Your smile is probably more important than your degree. It's nuts. I mean, it does make sense. They don't want some anti-capitalist society critic who will complain about his working conditions all the time. They want someone who will go Femto for the company. Griffith would totally get the job, Guts wouldn't.
