depends on a lot of things. age is obviously very important, everything is easier as a young person. I am kind of in the same boat as you, just reverse: my mom made great efforts to keep me in a good environment growing up, as a result I am socially fucked. but I have friends who managed to change their situation, one of them got into music and met a whole lot of people through that, including his current girlfriend. he made an effort and stepped out of his comfort zone, as a result he grew as a person. he is moving in with her this fall. of course, he was a very smart guy even before that, so it was easier for him than it is for most, but I think the general idea can be applied by anyone. I am starting uni this year, so I hope I will get the chance to do something similar. you should think along these line too

Honestly as a misogynist myself I have to say a lot of fears women have around men are pretty justified. As a religious guy, a lot of men are hella creepy and gross, and even just being male I've come across some gay men who just make me feel really uncomfortable.

Well that and, most of the things I hate women for are things that at least some men do. I probably wouldn't date if I was a woman either
