Men only like cooking because it's historically been deeply misogynistic.
1: the emphasis on knife skills. Totally illogical. Chinese cleaver, looks exactly like a a meat cleaver, but it's mostly used for vegetables, except when it's not(dual wielded for mincing meat that has already been deboned. Confusing:filet and boning knifes are thin and flexible but butchering knives look like vegetable Chinese cleaver? Flimsy distinction given seperating meat from bones and cutting bone into sections. Isn't that just spinning hairs metaphorically?? But totally opposite knife designs
Scary: batons vs juliened, mince vs dice vs cube. There's a million terms which all mean the same thing(cut with knife) but men insist there's this intangible difference that matters(and it's so so common you have to be a fucking polyglot to know what a tournier is).
3: scary! Deep fry, shallow fry, broil, salamander, saute. There's a million different fats which makes no sense because fat is bad, but you have olive oil, butter, lard, tallow, coconut, butter 2: clarified,, butter 3 ghee, butter 4: brown, avocado oil, and magically somehow seed oils are fats which are bad but now they're bad because seed oil like canola, vegetable, corn, or sunflower oil, but somehow because reasons peanut oil is ok?
The hole system is designed to be as anti woman as possible. Protein, veggie, starch. That's the formula we're TAUGHT IN SCHOOL! But suddenly because a moid wants to eat all that gets thrown out the window. You can't boil that because it's reasons, it has to be roasted. Can't boil thin because reasons, it's sauteed, can't boil this because reasons it has to be seared.
I thought only women freaked out over food and counting calories. Men are a hundred times worse than picky eaters. With picky eaters you just don't give them icky stuff they dislike. But moids are like ummm excuse me these batons are 7mm in width not 6mm therefore I reject the entire meal categorically.
