In the abstract, people talk to each other for entertainment and self-aggrandizement about as often if not moreso than for the purposes of honest communication. Lying is a fundamental aspect of the human experience. Still, if you wanted a more concrete answer we'd need some concrete examples of what sort of lies you're being told. You might just be paranoid.

I lie for the fun of it and to see if I can get away with it. If people are lying to you they dont respect you and dont like you. You are easy to mess with.

Be honest with me too, would you really tolerate brutal honesty?

not OP but I find absolutely brutal honesty always preferable to a lie even if it is told with good intent.
also: I'm autistic as fuck and I read plenty of books on psychology in order to fix myself and understand people. the more I got to understand people, the more I grew to despise the vast majority of them. most people truly are fucking shit.
