So this begs the question, how did this happen? And what can be done about it.

Low-t, lack of proper socialization (no most do not have autism, that's just an excuse), lack of male role models, high inhibition, learned helplessness. Basically they were always fragile and then one rejection or precieved rejection sends them into a tailspin. Bonus points if they were considered 'smart' and likely developed a degree of narcissism around it. All lookism means that due to things beyond their control, like height, facial features then the game was rigged agianist them from the start and nothing was their fault or failure.

I was thinking the same thing. Incels will let society walk all over them and not stand up for themselves. I feel this is a sign of low testosterone.

I agree especially about learned helplessness. I believe it is over bearing or over coddling mothers (or even nanny state societies) who are responsible for this.

yeah father figures, even more so good father figures. Many incels come from single mother households. A lack of other good male role models too, that show a balance between being a man without being obnoxious he-man woman hater but at the same time not a complete pussy.
