Something that happened when I was a kid, constitutes what you're talking about. I remember we had winmx and kazaa. That's not actually true. Pornhub never really had a CP "problem" so to speak. They were actually quite good at moderation, better than many major social networks. The purge came as a result of then pressure put on them by their payment processors to implement some sort of age verification method after an expose was published in the NYT about the dangers of Pornhub, an expose which was later revealed to have been connected to Exodus Cry, a Christian organization whose overall mission ultimately is to end sex work entirely as well as make pornography and recreational sex outside of marriage completely illegal.
