its not that hard of a wish. my uncle built his own house in the woods 40 yrs ago and lives there by himself with several dogs, doing occasional handyman work for local old ladies in return for pies and beer.
he would probably pass it along to anyone who moved in and helped him out, and theres probably more guys like him out there.
so basically just try to get out into the boonies and meet the local lonely old folks. you could look into getting CHHA certification if youre in the US, cause then you can get paid a lot by medicare/insurance just for living with a senior and cooking for them. you usually have to do some work-study thing for a year or so to get the CHHA but it pays pretty damn well in any case and theres often signing bonuses. nothing but HS degree or GED required.
