Honestly, now that I know the holocaust was fake and gay, all this slavery stuff in the US being "the most evil thing ever" also seems pretty fake and gay.

Like I read The Narrative Life of Frederick Douglass, an actual slave, and his account of slavery isn't nearly as bad as what Hollywood would lead you to believe. Like Django Unchained shows a slave getting ripped to pieces by dogs while whites laugh about it. There was nothing like that in Frederick Douglass.

American chattel slavery was uniquely cruel and sadistic in ways too terrible to name. Yes it really was that bad. The effects are still observable today, in people belonging to generations that were born free. If anything your teachers downplayed how bad it really was. They softened the blow for you because you were a child and even the softened version of it made you feel bad.

even if you believe that niggers are uncivilized, bringing them unwillingly into a civilized society is a horrible idea, for they will obviously not be able to integrate, as they never wanted to do so in the first place.
if a nigger wants to integrate, let him. But the dumping of millions of slaves would very obviously destabilize a society.
if you don't believe they are uncivilized, then slavery is still bad because of all the mainstream reasons.

It varied by place.

Athenian slavery for example ranged from "government bureaucrats who were technically slaves" to "literally the worst slavery in history being worked to death in their mines. Islamic slavery was usually fairly bad with castration and such but Islamic slave soldiers had it pretty good and some of them even staged coups (Mamluks being the famous example) and turned into the new rulers. American slavery was generally pretty humane and decent, but just to the southeast the Caribbean had extremely brutal cane sugar plantations. Etc.
