Buy a used one. Normalfags are obsessed with cosmetics and will sell you a good reliable vehicle on the cheap just because the paint is peeling or the interior is ripped up a bit.

I've considered flying to the southern states just to buy a used car and then spraying the bottom with rust prevention because I've had frames so fucked, several unibodies, a truck, that they were not safe to drive even when washing the car every chance I get in the winter.

I didn't say to buy a clunker that was beat to shit. I said normalfags are retards who care about social status so much that they'd go out and buy a brand new car instead of bothering to put a new coat of paint on their old one that was "out of date anyway."

I did the math and I think I could afford a used picrel if I want. But I feel like I should be saving everything for a down payment on a house. But at the same time house prices are so ridiculous and will continue to be ridiculous, I feel like you might as well enjoy a nice car while you are young. Idk. I also really want this spec specifically but they are very hard to find so I guess I'll wait. There's no rush and they'll get cheaper

You can literally buy a used Toyota in good condition for less than 10k. If even that's too expensive then consider killing yourself because you're probably a burden on the economy.

i bought a car for the first time last year but the seller mustve tweaked it slightly before selling it because it ran fine for a while and then just suddenly fucking biffed it on the highway

What in specific happened? It could have been an easy fix if you knew what to look for. Or maybe it was from a lack of maintenance you should have checked when you bought it or at least got it done yourself after buying it.

i was driving like normal one day and then the whole car jolted, no longer could make it past 40mph and produced a smokescreen every time i gave it gas, never recovered
i forgot what the actual issue was but there were a bunch of other problems with the thing too including leaks everywhere that were apparently previously patched with stuff that would only last a few months
i knew nothing about cars back then so i didnt know what to look for
