Yes. Especially when you realize most people wear goodness as a garment they can just take off when it is no longer convenient.

It's weird how writers have to shoehorn in a contrived scenario of the bad guy behaving out of character to farts on an orphan for no reason, or spit on a puppy. It's almost like they instinctually understand a good person will naturally hate the typical protagonist and side with the better character.
