Anon, this has been my whole life. People around me are a literal decade behind internet culture, slowly catching up. I've hear people IRL call things based, I've seen a man with a sam hyde pillow on his couch.

We've been saying based and cringe since ~2015, people adopted cringe in my country in ~2018 and it took em this long to get to "based". By 2030 people will be saying "truthnuke" and "cunny uooh" at work.
