True. I understand that there are places that their economy is based on tourism but I feel like I take more from reading about a culture or country, if I were to actually go I'd get so in my head and I wouldn't absorb it at all. Plus, tourism is not a safe bet for a place's economy.

It depends on what you do in your home too. Being at home is dangerous you can fall into bad habits
