First of all, framing traditional society as "the patriarchy" is a false, sexist concept. Social norms are created and enforced by women as much as men, perhaps more due to women being the primary indoctrinators of children. And politically, women have had the majority voting power for over 100 years in the west. A man only gets power with the consent of women.
Secondly, competency/value as a condition of acceptance is necessary for society to function. Things have to be done and done well for society to function. Infrastructure, code, safety, health, aesthetics; all of it needs to be built and maintained or people suffer. And her understanding of it is flanderized. Some failure is okay as long as you are trying.
Lastly, and most ironically, unconditional acceptance is more likely to lead to narcissism. Constantly being told that you're perfect and don't need to change falsely inflates the ego. And not only that, it makes you less fit to succeed and overcome life's challenges because you don't have information on what your shortcomings are or ways you could improve.
Unconditional acceptance is how you get boring, useless, broke women with shitty attitudes who look like trash bags thinking they are perfect and deserve a 10/10 man who waits on them hand and foot.
