They forget to mention in econ 101 that supply and demand only applies to economic entities of a certain size. Once theyre big enough they never ever EVER sell at a loss and will bitterly bludgeon consumers and lobby to have their losses subsidized and force the market to accept higher costs on inferior products. Look at the automotive industry, no one is buying these shit ass cars but prices continue rising and they will not go down until the entire industry collapses, which the banks holding vestment in these sellers wont allow because they wont get their loans repayed if the sellers declare bankruptcy

Oh yeah and i forgot to mention the losses being subsidized arent actual losses, its just being below their projected rate of profit while still being in the green. If you make less money than you anticipated in the modern economy, despite it still being a profit, its a loss and you have to manipulate the law and markets to recoup

>17 million annualized sales so far this year
>no one buys cars
lol. Not to mention there are dozens of auto companies globally and even in the US there's immense pressure from foreign companies like Toyota.

Seems to be new vehicle sales though the labeling is inconsistent.
New and used was apparently 50+ million in 2022
https://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/how-many-cars-are-sold-each-year-in-the-us.html
Which is significantly higher than FRED shows for total vehicle sales any year
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TOTALSA
So I assume the TOTALSA dataset is only new vehicles. Google AI also claims 16-17 million new vehicles sold but AI slop is slop lel.

I don't see a breakdown between consumer and fleet vehicles but this claims fleet sales are well under 3 million
