What's shameful is being broke, being a trustfund neet is much much less shameful than being a full-time wagie who still lives with his parents.

I was a NEET for nearly a decade. Now I work retail, feel daily shame now never felt that way while NEETing. I would workout, read books, listen to new music, masturbate and even have sex.
Now I spend my days off recovering/intoxicated before I have to go into that hellscape again

Pretty early, I just didn't really care. My only related regrets are missing out on a young college campus life, and ever having the privilege to live alone, but a lot of NEETs get that second thing anyway.
