There's animals in heaven, but it's never stated whether animals go to heaven or don't.

I don't think animals have souls so I'm pretty sure it's just dust to dust

i think so. ecclesiastes 3:19 establishes that animals have souls, and since, unlike us, they don't have original sin, it follows that they would probably be allowed into heaven.

I work with dogs and all of them have their own unique personalities that you won't really spot had you not worked with them
and yes, there are lovely affectionate dogs that enjoy attention and there's one that will purposefully act innocent so it can bite your hand off, and upon success you can see that the dog is happy via body language and facial expressions.
