It's really not from what I've read. Sodium nitite kills you by making your blood cells unable to carry oxygen anywhere properly anymore until you die from oxygen deprivation. So it's just like slowly passing out without the usual suffocation sensation since there isn't gonna be any co2 in your lungs. The scariest thing seems like the heart palpitations you'd get since your heart would start pumping way faster to get oxygen to your oxygen starved organs until it inevitably fails but I hear a mixture of a beta blocker and some weak barbiturate would make it pass a lot more peacefully. Maybe weed would help too.

For anyone thinking of trying this as little as 1g of that stuff can be lethal (but it would be much more prolonged and awful with a smaller dose) so please don't fuck around with it unless you're serious about dying.

Yeah that sounds awful. Any sort of slow kill suicide moment where you get to sit and watch as your body grinds is asking for a sense of dread and unavoidable doom as your self preservation insticts kick into full gear

I will but I wouldn't use that stuff. Better off getting into a small confined space and make hydrogen sulphide in a bucket I hear you pass out extremely quickly at higher (1% air) concentrations. I'd put up a sign somewhere though so people don't accidentally gas themselves to death when I'm found. I hear it smells REALLY bad though.

The issue here is that it's actually kind of hard to get the 98% pure sodium nitrite that you need, because sodium nitrite is apparently used in explosives, not to mention its use as a suicide chemical. So most people (like apparently the poor guy in the OP) get sodium nitrate (not the same thing, but still dangerous) and die slow, lingering deaths

Retard, there is no good way to go. None. Anyone that sells you a "fast and painless" way doesn't really care. Death is never good, you just have to accept it's going to be a hurdle you'll have to go through.

Kills similarly to Cyanide. Use a high dosage of methylene blue to counteract it and save their life. Easy
