The problem you are highlighting is in your own disbelief in God and your own fear of death. You want life to be meaningless because you're going to die.
Which is effectively like saying you want the reward before doing the job. You want the purpose (God) to be proven to you by the purpose (God) itself in order to make believing in the purpose (God) "worthwhile" by your own estimation.
Sure, it would be easier if things were just handed to you. It would be very easy if it just came naturally, or there was some big fiery message in the sky. But that's not how it is, and it never was, and likely never will be.
But, all the things that you're saying don't exist, do exist. You have places like this, right here, where you're currently at. Where there are people who have more life experience than you telling you how to make life meaningful, and what do you do? You rebel against it. You call it cope. Most likely just like you would do in the real world if you lived in another time, inside of a family with a tradition. Your elders would pass on the traditional knowledge to you, and what would yo udo? Rebel against it, and call anyone who offers the answer a "normie". Just like so many other people. You have an invitation into an initiation being offered, and you spit on it as if you're above it. While at the same time loathing yourself, and the entire world for not offering you such an initiation.
That's not a dig at you personally, it's just human behavior. Maybe you never got to rebel against a father in your youth, so now you rebel against the hekkin evil system, God, and purpose itself. But it doesn't do you any good, and only digs you further into the trenches you hate.
Shits up to you, at the end of the day.
You can deny and cope and be depressed and aimless, and blame God for not handing you the answers.
Or you can accept reality and start making something yourself.
