how was the weather? got really warm here again. seems like it's going to be warm tomorrow too, which is lucky since my friend is planning a bbq.

i'm a little tired and bored, but nothing too bad. maybe i'll put on the vid you send me last time or do you have any better ideas?

hi rem!

>i've been kinda absent lately
that's fine. it can be challenging to stop by every day and everybody needs a break sometimes.

>hpw are you? how's your day?
the day was fine. had to get a a bit early today, so i'm tired and don't really know what to do with the rest of the evening. not much left of it anyway.

maybe a funny new vid from charb

or maybe mint playing miside, have you heard of that game?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DiWKbCkdNDY&list=WL&index=13&t=4s&pp=gAQBiAQB
or maybe maybe something about the Chicago world fair, it was a very big deal at the time

hey everyone I'm super tired rn so idk how long I'll be on but today I did quite a lot. Went with my friends to work on their motorcycles a bit and then I wanted to go on a ride w em but I couldn't find my helmet. afterwards I went to go eat at a friends house and hung out w em a bit more before I went home.

gotta use the few good hours you have in a day now. glad you were able to. did you come across anything cool?

>you gonna go there right?!!
that's the plan. it's going to be rather late, though. some of our friends won't be able to make it earlier. will give me some time to bake an apple pie. :>

>looks like you're ready for a chill weekend then :3
definitely. don't know why, but the week was rough.

>I'm wondering what you could watch
thanks for the recs. i'll check them out, but i've put on the n,inah vid for now.

>have you heard of that game?
you talked about it before and i looked it up. seems to be in the same vein as doki doki literature club, at least it looks like it.

as most things tend to be. ^^ interesting topic, though.

definitely good enough to kill some time until bed. (^-^)

already watched the latest episode. i always watch it on tuesday.

understandable. i'm tired, too. at least it's the weekend.

>Went with my friends to work on their motorcycles a bit and then I wanted to go on a ride w em but I couldn't find my helmet.
safety first. being responsible is boring, but definitely the right decision not to ride if you can't find it. what did you guys work on?

>afterwards I went to go eat at a friends house

ah, yes. the medieval 2 game you're playing. took me a bit to remember what you meant. ^^ how's that going? and apparantly ca is supposed to be working on a 40k game and medieval 3 right now. not sure i'm looking forward to those games, but we'll see how they turned out. rumor is they'lk reveal at least the 40k one early december.

oh I didn't know
I watched some forgotten weapons stuff about a japanese bayonet
it also touched on a subject of the atomic bomb and man I don't know why but I feel really strongly about that is should have not been used in a civilian populated area TWICE
but whatever, that's just been on my mind now, I feel like then general acceptance of it being used is really a great example of how the winners write history and ao they're always justified in their actions, but again, whatever
Do you have strong feeling about it?
maybe it's because I've been a little obsessed with godzilla as a kid loll

There was a european BPD anon in pain in a different thread earlier who was being harassed by a sociopath/narc. I hope they are okay, and that if any of you see them please be very kind. They relapsed 2 weeks ago after 3 years clean, and the other person posted threatening messages and a horrific image. I am very worried about them.

Much love to you anon; You're not alone. Please don't cut. (>^_^)><(^_^<)

true. going to have a good time tomorrow.

>I actually wanted to ask about that
well, it's the right time for it, so why not? i'll need to get some apples, though.

>I know why but I rather not remind you
probably for the best. it's just that i feel mentally drained all the time and it's dragging me down.

>oh I didn't know
i usually put it on while closing the shop. it's good background noise.

>I watched some forgotten weapons stuff about a japanese bayonet
what's the verdict? stabby enough?

>I don't know why but I feel really strongly about that is should have not been used in a civilian populated area TWICE
but whatever
i can see why. in the end it's no difference if you use one bomb to level a city or a few thousands, but it drives the point home a bit harder and makes you think.

>I feel like then general acceptance of it being used is really a great example of how the winners write history and ao they're always justified in their actions
i think the issus isn't that much that it's accepted, but that humans only learn from mistakes. we have to do it at least once to grasp the insanity of it and even then we're just going to forget and do it again anyway.

>but again, whatever
you can always share your thoughts. no need to hold back.

>Do you have strong feeling about it?
not strong, just callused and cynical.

>maybe it's because I've been a little obsessed with godzilla as a kid loll
that makes sense. it's one of the points the movie was trying to make.

>how's that going?
pretty much lategame, gets really boring since battle aren't that interesting. you just end up marching to enemy capitals and sieging them, only fighting the occasional field battle (which is always against skirmish cav. gets incredibly tedious and frustrating). since i'm playing on very hard the enemy just holes up in their capital and it able to fund an entire 20 stack there (bcuz fuck you) which means I have to spend like 10 turns sieging it. I'll prolly grab jerusalem for the victory conditions and then i'll stop. apprently warhammer total war has much better lategame due to more interesting events than "horde faction shows up", which considering they have overpowered ranged cav isn't that fun.
>not sure i'm looking forward to those games
do not hope at all. ca has fucked up every historical title since atilla and 40k doesn't lend itself to total war at all imo. i was talking to a friend and maybe something kinda similar to mount and blade would work a lot better for 40k. if medieval 3 is fun i'll be suprised. my only real complaint for medieval 2 was that there's no autoreplenish but i'm sure there's a mod for that. doesn't lend itself to the gameplay mechanics but it gets pretty annoying micromanaging everything all the time.
>were you guys successful?
i mean we fixed those problems but new ones popped up.
>maybe head to bed a bit earlier today?
I will, gonna do some things tomorrow.

heya cat (almost typed cav, seems i have total war brainrot)
>what tited you out so much?
mainly just people being annoying and being in a car alot. also interacting with the annoying type of weebs for some reason. that almost made me crash out.
>and weekend plans?
hang out with friends, play more sm2 and probably watch more series. hell i might finally start watching anime again. also been looking to play katawa shoujo

>mentally drained all the time and it's dragging me down.
understandably :<
hopefully it goes away
>stabby enough?
yep
>drives the point home
literally
>humans only learn from mistakes
I disagree is a way
some mistakes can be avoidedbut that doesn't matter, because it's not seen as a mistake in the first place
Especially that it's not like they had just one bomb so they had to make sure to use it effectively, they could've first wipe an island with military from the map and if that didn't work then drop the second one on a city
>just going to forget and do it again anyway.
yeah
though when it comes to nuclei bombs were doing a pretty good job of not doing it again, so far..
>can always share your thoughts

>gets really boring since battle aren't that interesting.
yeah. the early phases of a campaign are usually the part that's the most fun. at a certain point your just cleaning up the map.

>I'll prolly grab jerusalem for the victory conditions and then i'll stop.
always a good point to drop out (and start another one :>)

>warhammer total war has much better lategame due to more interesting events
i've just seen a few spiffing brit vids on tw:wh, so my opinion might be a bit skewed...

>ca has fucked up every historical title since atilla
sadly how i feel about it, too. :/ i'm always ckecking out there new releases, but it's always the same story (except the warhammer stuff, but that's a weird fluke anyway): buggy mess and everyone and their grandparents is dlc.

>40k doesn't lend itself to total war at all imo
agreed. i can't see it at all. i guess it'll be something like company of heroes with a strategic map on top.

>maybe something kinda similar to mount and blade would work a lot better for 40k
interesting idea. we'll see what they'll come up with.

>if medieval 3 is fun i'll be suprised.
can't imagine how they'd ruin a medieval game, but they've found a way with all of the other series.

>it gets pretty annoying micromanaging everything all the time.
gotta optimize every. single. village. why are you even playing if you don't. ;D
